A father kept a garden. A garden of the heart;

He planted all the good things, which gave your lives their start.

He turned all of ya’ll to God and to the sunshine of the earth, and encouraged all of ya’ll to dream: Fostering and nurturing the seeds of self-esteem and love.

And when the winds and rain came, he protected all of ya’ll with what he thought was enough; But not to much because he knew all of ya’ll would need to stand up strong and tall on your own journey toward life.

His constant love and good example, always taught ya’ll right from wrong; Markers for ya’lls pathway that will last ya’ll a lifetime long.

You see; Ya’ll are your fathers garden. You are his legacy on this earth, and all he asked is for ya’ll to stand up tall and strong with love, for you are your father’s garden.

This is your father’s garden, for each of ya’ll to have and hold on too through life.

Remember all the hard work your father put into this garden, as you walk through and remember his life.
